Yeah! Something new and for Schleich! And, I have to say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It’s just a simple nylon harness, except the bridle doesn’t have a noseband. I’m not quite done, I still need to add rein terrets.(biggest pain ever!) Also, it is shown with no traces, reins, or rein terrets in these pictures.
********************************

What is this you ask? It’s a goat packsaddle. It’s pretty simple, with the sawbuck saddle, pad, single girth, breast collar, and butt band. And of course a collar and lead.
********************************

And to complete today’s work, I made a bosal. Sort of. The reins are a bit out of whack, but I like it.
********************************

This one needs some work. The rein that you can see in this picture is just too messy.(to much glue) I really like the pearl accents, but the bridle as a whole just has a couple flaws. But, I’ll keep working on it until I can use it in a show.
********************************

Another leather thing! It’s just a simple Western bridle, but I really like it. If I ever get to go to a model horse show, (that’ll never happen, at least not in the near future) than I will definitely set up a performance scene with it.
********************************
I’m done! I think it turned out pretty good for a first time project. I found the world of skiving to be incredibly helpful, and so much prettier that unskived leather. Shown on Argyle.
********************************

Working on a leather halter…..
********************************

Well, Sleek got a new halter today! And, I found the best leadrope design! They are much prettier than the flat nylon ones.
********************************
Since Baby Flo’s halter is one of the best halters I’ve made, (it has a buckle under the noseband, on the crown piece, and a buckled throat latch) it took a while more to renevate. But, I’m very happy with the results.
********************************
I only added halter squares to this one, and no buckles. I highly recommend Rio Rondo. Their kits and supplies are very good quality, and have very reasonable prices. Also, since I live overseas, half the time the seller won’t ship me. So, I asked if they would ship my order and they replied that they would the same day. Overall, they are very easy to work with and have quality items.
********************************

YES!! My Rio Rondo hardware came in! And so, I updated three of my halters. I think it makes for a more professional look.
********************************

Can you believe it!? This is the first foal halter I have ever made. Ever. I don’t really like it that much because the rings are too big, but I think it’s not too bad.

********************************

Surprise! A leather thing. There’s not even a buckle. But, it’s simple and pretty.
********************************
And so, one more English bridle. I finally figured out how to do a grackle noseband. Other than that, the rest of the bridle is the same as the other green one shown below. Shown on Zenyatta.

********************************

OK, so this one is a little more complicated. The flash noseband is removable, but pretty hard to get back on. The reins have the stoppers for a running martingale, and buckle in the middle. The rest of the bridle is the same as my leather ones, and have a buckle on the cheekpieces, noseband, and the throat latch. Shown on Little Texas.
********************************

And another nylon Western bridle. This one has a buckle on the throat latch, cheekpiece, and reins. Shown on the Silver Dun Sabino Treasure Hunt Horse.
********************************
This is just a simple nylon Western bridle. It has a buckle on the cheekpiece and the reins. Shown on Peppermint Kiss, 2015 holiday horse.
If you are interested in buying, you can email me on the contact page.
********************************

So sparkly! Unfortunately, I used all clear gems. But, it was worth it!
Sorry about the weird lighting. Shown on Toro.
********************************

It’s been FOREVER since I put anything up! There’s been nothing to put up. No new tack designs, and I’ve used up my photography places. But anyway, here’s something! With my Christmas money I bought this little rabbit and so I had to make her something. So here’s my rabbit harness design! It’s really simple, and is just a collar and a band that goes around the body, connected with a strap on the back. Shown on the 2017 Schleich rabbit. (I’m pretty sure)
********************************

Yay! My goat harness is completed! The only thing is, the shafts run through the loops that hold them. So, I have to work on that. But other than that, I think it’s pretty cute!
Shown with the 2017 Schleich goat and a fairy garden wagon that I got at Micheal’s.
********************************

Yes. More cows. But I thought, “all my other animals wear some sort of tack, so why shouldn’t cows?” And so, these came into being.
Yes, these cow halters are correct. They are different from horse halters, and I didn’t just get lazy and randomly put these together. You can look up real ones on Google. The noseband goes over the bridge of the nose and crosses under the gullet, becoming the throat latch. And, of course, the buckle is in the crown piece like normal.
So this is just a normal cow collar. Yes, cow collar. I don’t know why we couldn’t have named them something else, but I guess that’s what that are. They are commonly used instead of halters for any sort of livestock including cows, goats, and sheep.
********************************

Finally! Something Schleich! Blankets again, but it’s something. I like these much more than the last ones.
OK, so a new stable blanket design. These are held together in front, so the front doesn’t open. It just slides over the head. The only buckle is for the belly strap.
This is pretty much the same, except the belly strap goes all the way around. Again, the front doesn’t open.
These are exactly the same as the stable blanket, except tiny enough for the fallabella miniature horses and other ponies.
From top to bottom: the Schleich donkey mare, Icelandic mare, donkey foal, fallabella mare, and fallabella gelding.
********************************

I finally came up with something that I had never seen and haven’t thought of doing yet. These two halters are made in the United States Of America (shown on the mule; left) and the German flag (shown on the Highland pony; right) colors. These and others in other countries’ colors will soon be available on Etsy.
********************************

This is a lunging/trick set. I’m pretty happy with how the surcingle turned out, and I especially like it on this little guy. I made a lunge line to go with it, but it’s all folded up right now. The side reins are not removable, but the breast plate is a piece by itself. Shown on Hickory Hills Wall Street.
********************************
Bell boots! Yes! These are Sarah Breyer’s (on YouTube) design. So thanks to her for the great tutorial! Shown on Trooper.
*******************************

So, another harness! I guess this is style two. This is a more simple one than the last, and is easier to take on and off. (Also for the less patient) It consists of the saddle and girth, breast strap, crupper and bridle. This one doesn’t have the traces and reins, but they are put on exactly like the green one. Shown on Elska.

********************************

So, here’s something new. I normally don’t do the zebra stripes and Jaguar spots, but I thought maybe I’d mix it up a little. Unfortunately, I don’t have a black saddle. This set has open front jumping boots, fetlock boots, saddle pad, and matching bridle. Shown on Zenyatta.
********************************

Western tack! Yay! I got my package, sat down, and this somehow came together. It was the biggest pain ever, but I really like it. This set has a tie down, Western bridle, breastplate, britchen, saddle pad, and sport boots.( Mine are a little small) And, I made a vest. People tack. I’ll be doing more for color tack sets, since I can’t stand it when the person doesn’t fit with the tack. I’m going to add stripes to it. Shown on the warehouse find chestnut mare.
********************************
One leather English tack set, done. And I am probably not going to do much with leather in the future. The bridle has a buckle on the noseband, throat latch, and cheek pieces. The reins buckle at the end. The breast plate has a buckle on each side, clips to rings on the saddle, (seen in picture three) and has a buckled loop that slides on to the girth. The saddle was made by Breyer. I did not make it. Set shown on Trooper.
********************************
Western bridles! Yay! Yes, the orange bridle and tie down are shown with an English saddle, but I don’t have a Western saddle yet. The orange bridle is a simple Western nylon bridle, with a padded browband and one buckle on the left side. The tie down has a buckled loop to slide onto the girth, and a small clasp at the other end to attach to the tie down itself. The tie down has a padded noseband and one buckle on the left side. The blue bosal (bitless bridle) is pretty simple, and there isn’t much to explain. It has one buckle on the left, and a tassel on the brow band. Shown on (from top to bottom) Toro, the Highland pony, and Harley D Zip.
This bosal is one of a kind. I was bored, and just braided up a piece of string, and somehow this happened. It just slips on over the head, and has one ear loop.

********************************
Ok, so here are some Schleich pieces. These are old, so we’ll see how the new projects go. The lavender blanket with white trim is a normal stable blanket, and so is the yellow one with red, but it is shown with shipping boots. The lavender is shown on the Schleich Shire mare, and the yellow is on the Schleich Percheron stallion.
********************************
So much for a shipping halter next. This is my breakaway halter. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. The crown piece is leather with a buckle on each side like the real ones. I wish that I had Rio Rondo hardware, but there isn’t anything I can do about it now. I am hoping to order some slotted halter squares and 1/8 buckle sheets in January. I am working on a shipping halter and boots, but they just aren’t coming out as well as I want them too. But, they will be up shortly along with some schleich blankets. Shown on the Irish Draft.
********************************
Yes! My harness is complete! I had to simplify most of it because I was trying to have a realistic set, but user friendly enough to be able to be taken on and off without much difficulty. So with that goal in mind, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. It has all the necessary parts to be hitched to a cart or snigging equipment (shown below). I simplified the bridle so that it was easy to use, but still realistic. It has a buckle on the noseband, throat latch, and on the top of the head. The traces buckle on to the breast collar, and have a buckled loop on the end for hitching and adjustment purposes. The girth has two buckles on each side,so you can switch it out for a bigger one. This harness is shown on Smok’n Double Dutch, on the Cantering Welsh Pony mold. If you are interested in buying any of my tack, you can contact me on the contact page and we can discuss payment and shipping options. I take custom orders and sometimes trades.
********************************
These are my new halter designs. The more simple black halter ( shown on the highland pony below) I mostly use for ponies, and the standard (shown on Baby Flo at the bottom) I make for my horses that I use more often. The padded halter (shown on Mistral Horjris) is a simple halter, but with an adjustable, padded noseband and crown piece. A shipping halter is next on my list of things to make, so hopefully that will be included in the next update.
If you would like to buy or want me to make a certain style of tack please let me know and I can make it!
Thanks, Lucy
